A Year to Remember: Celebrating Our 2024 Community Partners

2024 was a memorable year, to say the least. Every year  XYZ Storage looks forward to partnering with incredible organizations in the communities where we operate our self-storage facilities. From hosting events to offering our facilities as a space and resource, we’re proud to have worked with some of the most fantastic organizations. Here are a few highlights from 2024:

Frontlines Centre

Frontlines is a youth charity located in the Weston area to help young people thrive, whether that’s providing them with health education, summer camps, leadership skills, and more. We could not be more honoured to help Frontlines Centre continue its impactful work with the youth in the Weston community over the last several years by providing it with the resources and support they need.

Earlier this year, our XYZ Storage team attended a gala hosted by Frontlines Centre. Annissa Rodriguez, Director of People and Technology at XYZ Storage reflected on the experience and shared that, “it was a night filled with inspiration, connection, and a shared commitment to building stronger communities.” In other words, we’re proud to support our community in helping shape a better future.

Hockey Diversity Alliance

In August, we at XYZ Storage proudly partnered with the Hockey Diversity Alliance (HDA) by providing space at our Toronto West and Toronto Midtown facilities to help host its event for skate and hockey equipment fittings. This was the second year we were able to provide space to HDA and the event had the highest attendance. In addition to providing HDA with our facility for the event, we also provide complimentary storage to HDA to allow it to store hockey equipment year-round. By providing storage, HDA can spend its donations on other areas of the business that help support its mission.

Hockey Diversity Alliance is committed to inspiring a new and diverse generation of hockey players and fans and we are honoured to do our part in fostering inclusivity and opportunity in local community sports.

Museum of Toronto

The Museum of Toronto serves as the “city’s museum,” intending to fill a gap in the city’s cultural landscape. To support its efforts, we sponsor it by providing space for it to store items when its exhibitions are not in use.

This year, we took it a step further by collaborating with the Museum of Toronto for its Toronto 36 Questions exhibition. This exhibition was an interactive pop-up, where individuals and families can explore and develop a greater appreciation for our city’s ecosystems, including beaches, dog parks, and more. It’s an absolute honour for us to contribute and play a role in supporting the city’s rich history through art.

Flavours of Thorncliffe

The Neighbourhood Organization (TNO) is located near our Laird XYZ Storage facility and has been a valued partner of XYZ Storage for many years. We’re proud to host the Flavours of Thorncliffe annual event again at our Laird facility this year. This event brings together foodies and talented chefs of the Thorncliffe community showcasing their delicious creations to support the newcomer refugee population. It’s an honour for us to partner with the TNO and bring together a diverse community and its love for food.

Looking Ahead

As 2024 comes to a close, we reflect on the incredible partnerships we’ve made, whether that’s with new or existing ones. Looking ahead to 2025, we’re excited to continue expanding our partnership efforts and working with even more organizations. Whether you’re looking for a secure and safe place to store equipment, host an event, or support a local cause, we’re here to help. We’d love to hear from you so shoot us a message here and let’s explore if there’s an opportunity to work together in the new year.

Lastly, a heartfelt thank you to all of our customers, team members, guests, and partners for a fantastic year. We appreciate your continuous support over the last few decades and wish you and your loved ones a happy holiday season and new year! Cheers to seeing what’s in store for us in 2025!
